Troides magellanus (C & R Felder, 1862)

    Confined to the northern and eastern islands of the Philippines, it inhabits forests generally but persists in cultivated lands as well. Locally and seasonally abundant. This species along with T prattorum have a unique opalescence to the hind wings when viewed obliquely.
