    Restricetd to the island of Talaud (Indonesia) and the nearby island of Sangihe. It is not at all rare, but due to its limited distribution, has been described as threatened (Collins and Morris). I am told the species survives in cultivated and secondary growth regions, so it is probably in no real danger at least for now. Often it is included as a ssp of T rhadamanthus, but it is certainly a unique one...
