Pacliopta mariae (Semper, 1874)

    Confined to the Philippines where it is quite common during the wet season. Apparently distinguishable from the very similar phegeus (strandi), leyteyensis and kotzebua by the shape of the hind wing red spots and white patch. Not an easy job.Three? ssp:
