  Rare and restricted to the small and heavily logged island of Obi in Indonesia, Its future may depend on commercial ranching which has ensured its preservation for the time being. Ranching has become a major source of income for some islanders. The photo does not do justice to the shades of aqua and turquoise in its wings. Individuals vary in the size and number or presence / absence of gold  on the hind wings.
