Restricted to southern Sulawesi island, Indonesia. The ssp tetrix
is interesting in that it occurs at higher elevations than the nominate
monticolum, typically 1000 to 2000 meters. The Nominate race lacks the
forewing submarginal band and is closer to sarpedon.
Poorly known, but frequently treated as a race of G
sarpedon.
